The object is to replace the 40+ year old plywood floor, and gain some cockpit legroom for the driver and passenger.  First the Floor are was cut out in one piece, then the firewall in another piece.  Care was taken so that these 2 pieces could be located correctly on the chassis, to confirm that "Zeeing" the frame was the best choice.

Because we took ther time to remove the floor an d firewall the way we did, we are able to work the legroom dimensions in both the body area...AND the chassis

Our next step will be to temporarily install the engine/transmission, because we think we may be able to gain legroom without cutting the chassis
