True Barn Find...this '41 Ford in original Shriner's Paint and Graphics will make an awesome street rod that draws attention anywhere it goes...likely to win " Peoples Choice Award" when it's done.
The Yellow and all the graphics can be saved without much work, and when the red and green are repainted, the car will look very original to it's period. This car was built correctly by the original Kansas City owner, the late John Cannon Sr a member of the Abdallah Shrine Clowns in Overland Park KS for 40 years, and not only draws interest, it is historically accurate, ORIGINAL,.unmolested...and VERY COMPLETE. ..............Parked in a barn after it's last parade..later sold by the Estate...these are not generally personally owned, as they are owned by the Masonic Lodge Group, so don't expect to see another one on your Cruise or Show................Found with the distributor apart and in the trunk, I have a complete replacement assembly ( with coil)...the engine is free, the brakes and steering are ok, the rear seat bottom need to be restiched, and the rear padded area needs new fabric, but the upholstery is otherwise decent. Original floor and trunk mats are useable...
Southern Body is VERY solid with some minor surface rust Front fender is solid where paint has chipped and rust shows on top. . Only at bottom of rear door posts is there any area that will eventually need repair. Engine appears to have been well maintained. Oversize generator sits on top of engine ( for floodlights, trailer, etc.) Grilles are in good condition, car appears to be complete..Mecury horn ring steering wheel, but Ford on dash.
